Powerful 6 minute presentation explains how to survive a food crisis

I watched a short presentation about how to survive a food crisis. At first I was about to close the web page, because I thought it was someone saying that the 2012 end of the world predictions were true. However, thankfully, I kept listening.

What they were actually saying was that whenever someone makes an end of the world prediction, most people don't take them seriously, however there are still a bunch of people who panic and start buying as much food as possible for the upcoming 'crisis'.

This quickly escalates, more people panic buy, and before you know it, all the food in your nearest supermarket is gone :(

The presentation is a bit heavy handed in its delivery, explaining how you and your family could be starving to death, and there would be nothing you could do about it, apart from fighting with other people over scraps of food. While that *could* happen, and it would be horrible, there are a lot more reasons for storing food (and more likely to happen!):
  • If you ever find yourself out of a job, you could save money by eating the food which you have already stored
  • If there is a power cut which lasts days rather than a few hours, you will still have food to eat, and not be relying on an oven or microwave to cook food
  • If there are strikes causing a food shortage, you will have peace of mind, knowing you have plenty of food for you and your family to last until the strike has ended
  • If something happens which causes people to panic buy, you wont need to worry!
  • You will save money, because the food you store now will most likely cost more next year, you wont need to spend as much money on food =)
The presentation also explains that if you don't know what you are doing, you could end up storing food which could make you and your family ill, or store the wrong types of food which could spoil, or not contain the nutritioni you need.

I would highly recommend watching this presentation, it's only 6 minutes, it's interesting, it will save you money, and could even save you and your families life!
